New Staff at the Primary School! The Ministry of Education finally had a deployment of new graduates and Sons of Thunder was blessed with 6 new teachers! These new government-paid teachers have joined Anna, (the headmistress) as well as our SOT-paid teachers Makulomo and Terry. Unfortunately Anephias was deployed to another school at the border despite our request to keep him at SOT. (Man kneeling in front is not one of the teachers)

SPONSORS NEEDED: for either the Blessed Fund or School Sponsorship Fund See our FB page: Sons of Thunder: Sponsor a Student or our website @ www.sotzambia.com

We need your help! These are the grade 8-12 school kids who live at SOT. During school breaks (three a year in April, August and December) they work with what we call the "Blessed Fund" program. This is a work/study program to keep 68 teenagers busy during their break time with their first job, learning good work ethics, managing their money and helping their parents with back-to-school shopping. They work for 4-5 hours in the morning, have one hour for lunch, then return for some kind of study lessons. We have had field trips, guest speakers from different career paths, additional school classroom instruction (especially during COVID), Bible studies, games, etc. They absolutely love it and can't wait to join once they graduate 7th grade!

It is our goal at Sons of Thunder to make sure these kids have the opportunity to complete grade 12 and so we are asking for financial assistance.

Matthew 25:36 "I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

A team of 9 SOT men went to visit the prison in Livingstone a few days before Christmas. They set out, armed with 3 crates of bananas and 36 bags of mealie meal (20 - 25kg bags and 16 - 10kg bags) for both the guards and the inmates and banana breads for the guards. They also took the Word of God and message that had been given to Alex to share. Food for the body and food for the soul. They were previously told there would be 50 men attending plus the guards, but when they got there, they had in their words "multitudes." For the first time the prison allowed the women inmates to also come with the men "since it was Sons of Thunder." Those 3 crates of bananas fed the multitudes and they still had some leftover! There was a man who joined them in ministry and left as soon as it was over. No one questioned his appearance or joining the group. He is seen in the group picture. Blessed with the praise and worship and impacted by the message, the inmates, guards and SOT team were all touched. The 9 SOT men returned full of hope and excitement. They had been touched, each one differently. Thank you God for a blessed and impactful day!
