Elephants in the Maize Field

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!

Life can be frustrating with lots of things that bring discouragement....but in Zambia that also includes elephants! The large SOT fields of maize in Southern Corner planted at the end of last November with the hope of a very large harvest in May were ravaged by a visit from the elephants! Alex said there were many...in the hundreds! Exaggerated or not, the destruction will adversely affect the maize harvest and thereby affect the mealie meal production and sales. We will once again have to purchase maize in order to combat food shortage and hunger. That purchase is cheaper if done in May when the supply is more. The price increases the longer we wait. I am asking for monetary donations marked "maize purchase" for all those who feel God leading. Please help us to continue to feed the hungry!
